NHS tackles COVID Vaccine Disinformation

The coronavirus pandemic has been accompanied by various waves of false and misleading information and scary stories and myths, all of which could endanger public health and cost lives.

Widespread misinformation about COVID-19 vaccines has included false claims about their safety, efficacy, ingredients, side effects and purpose, the main source of vaccine misinformation is social media. Misinformation may be amplified by social media algorithms that prioritise content likely to receive a high amount of engagement.
The NHS are laying out a blueprint to tackle vaccine hesitancy and to increase the uptake in vaccines, especially in ethnic minorities
